26th December 2010 Skiing: Samoens-France Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Our last day :( woke up to cloud but according to the forecast sunshine by ten !!! We had to pack up and be out of our lovely mgm appartment by ten.So after loading our van to the gunnals, we drove to the Samoens bubble and were on the lift by 10.30 after getting our first all day lift pass and the sky was very blue now :) We are back in love with skiing now because you do need the sun out !!! the scene that greeted us at the top was stunning with the whole area covered in a foot of fresh snow :) We spent the day skiing as much offpiste as possible over the whole area that included Samoens,Flaine,Morillon and Les Carroz !!! My best run was off the side of the tourmaline into Flaine where I made fresh tracks for ages but then had to walk out across a stream :0\ We skied over to Morillon for a nice meal in the crepe restaurant and then finished the day with a few tree pistes in Les Carroz. We ended the holiday skiing all the way down to Morillon Village to catch the bus back to the van. So at last we had a blue sky five star day - sking should always be like this !!!
